Limited Warranty

We care about your business - Every notebook we sell is designed to meet and even exceed your expectations. We are dedicated to providing excellent products that use today’s advanced technology. However, as most people realize, electronic products sometimes do have technical difficulties. There are many reasons that these technical problems arise, sometimes it is due to a manufacturing defect. That is why we offer a standard one full year warranty against manufacturer defects on every notebook and desktop computer we sell. We also offer additional warranty terms on most of our products at an additional cost. Keep in mind that there are also many additional factors that are beyond our control and are not covered under any warranty agreement. We highly recommend that you read this warranty policy so that you understand what things may or may not be covered under the warranty for your computer. If you have any questions regarding this warranty, please feel free to contact us during normal business hours.

Seriously Smart Technologies warranty obligations are limited to the terms set forth below:
7-Day Money-Back Guarantee
IF FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER YOU SHOULD FAIL TO BE SATISFIED with your Quantum Computer (Notebook or Desktop Computer), you may return it within 7 days after its original shipping date for a refund of your purchase price alone minus a $180 restocking fee. Seriously Smart Technologies will not refund the costs of opened or Activated software including the enclosed operating system disc (or if the Certificate of Authenticity has been removed) and virus protection software, nor will Seriously Smart Technologies refund shipping costs. All returns require the use of a Returned Material Authorization (RMA) number, which must appear on all communication about the returned item and on the outside of the shipping packaging that must arrive prepaid. All original items and original packaging must be included in the return. Any items that are not returned and/or any items that are damaged will be deducted from the refund. There will be no exceptions to this policy. Certain custom-built products may not be covered under this 7-day Money Back Guarantee. These products will have a disclaimer on your Original Quotation, Purchase Receipt, or Invoice.

Free Email Technical Support
Seriously Smart Technologies WILL PROVIDE limited email technical assistance to the ORIGINAL PURCHASER of a Quantum
Computer (Notebook or Desktop
Computer) for as long as the original purchaser continues to possess the computer. All "Third-Party" software and peripherals are supported by the original manufacturer and are not covered under this warranty.
Remote Software Assistance
Seriously Smart Technologies WILL PROVIDE phone and/or remote technical assistance via a high-speed internet connection using secure remote help software, to any legal owner of a Quantum Computer (Notebook or Desktop Computer) at additional cost. Please refer to our website for our current remote assistance rates. "Third-Party" software may or may not be supported by this option depending on our technical department’s knowledge of your particular software. Remote Technical Assistance has certain costs associated with this service that are not covered under warranty.
One-Year Premium Parts and Labor Warranty

1. Definition of Terms
As used in this warranty policy, Product means any hardware manufactured for or by Seriously Smart Technologies bearing any original Seriously Smart Technologies or Quantum Computers trademark, trade name, or logo that is purchased directly from Seriously Smart Technologies or a Seriously Smart Technologies Authorized Reseller.

An Original Purchaser is any consumer that purchases and has possession of a product directly from Seriously Smart Technologies or from a Seriously Smart Technologies Authorized Reseller.
​
An Authorized Reseller is any retail store or distributor that has an agreement to purchase products direct from Seriously Smart Technologies on an ongoing basis for resale.
​
An End User is the ultimate consumer of the Seriously Smart Technologies product and constitutes anyone who owns and uses a Seriously Smart Technologies product.
​
Date of Original Retail Purchase is the date the Original Purchaser bought the Product from Seriously Smart Technologies or an Authorized Reseller. If the product was shipped via any carrier (IE: FedEx, UPS, USPS or DHL), the date of shipment is considered as the purchase date.
​
2. Scope of Warranty
SERIOUSLY SMART TECHNOLOGIESWARRANTS this Seriously Smart Technologies hardware product against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the Date of Original Retail Purchase.

a. Products Covered
This warranty applies only to hardware products manufactured by or for Seriously Smart Technologies that can be identified by the "Seriously Smart Technologies" trademark, trade name, or logo affixed to them. Seriously Smart Technologies provides no warranty whatsoever for any software provided with its products; such software is warranted separately by their manufacturers. Seriously Smart Technologies does not warrant any products that are not Seriously Smart Technologies products. This warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged by problems with electrical power; failure to perform required preventive maintenance; accident; abuse; misuse; or misapplication; if the Product has been modified without the written permission of Quantum Computers International; or if any Seriously Smart Technologies serial number has been removed or defaced.

b. Service Procedures
If you discover a defect, Seriously Smart Technologies will first inspect the product to determine the cause of the problem. If after finding that the problem is covered under this warranty, Seriously Smart Technologies will at its option, repair or replace the product at no additional charge to you, provided the problem is a legitimate warranty concern, and that you return it during the limited warranty period, and provided you obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number prior to shipping your defective product.

When repairing a Seriously Smart Technologies product, Seriously Smart Technologies will restore the product to proper working condition in accordance with factory specifications in effect at the time the product was manufactured or replace the defective product with a product that is at least equivalent to the original product. Seriously Smart Technologies reserves the right to use new or reconditioned parts that are equivalent or superior to the original factory specifications. Replacement parts are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for (90) days or for the remainder of the original limited warranty of the replaced product.

The RMA number must appear plainly on the outside of the shipping packaging. RMA numbers can be obtained by calling or writing Seriously Smart Technologies at the address and phone numbers printed on this certificate. For each product returned for warranty service consideration, please attach your name, address, telephone number, RMA number, and a copy of your bill of sale (invoice) bearing the appropriate Seriously Smart Technologies serial numbers as proof of Date of Original Retail Purchase. You should "Hand Write" the serial number on your proof of purchase receipt if it is not already on it. Please note that obtaining a Return Merchandise Authorization number does not automatically guarantee that your product will be repaired under warranty.
Failure to insure the shipment puts you at risk for damages during shipment Seriously Smart Technologies. Seriously Smart Technologies will not be held responsible for damage to incoming shipments. It is always best to use the original packaging or equivalent packaging.

Protection of Stored Data: Please make periodic backup copies of stored data on the hard disc (hard drive) or other storage device. If customers data is altered, damaged or lost due to any trouble, failure, or malfunction of the hard disc or any other storage device and the data can not be recovered, Seriously Smart Technologies shall not be liable for any loss or damage to any data or any other damage resulting therefrom. When returning any defective product, please confirm whether the data has been successfully transferred, backed up, or copied. Seriously Smart Technologies disclaims any liability for the failure to copy or transfer data correctly. Before returning any defective product, be sure to backup data and remove any proprietary, confidential, or personal information. Seriously Smart Technologies is not responsible for (1) damage to or loss of any programs, data, or removable storage media or (2) the restoration or reinstallation of any programs or data other than software installed by Seriously Smart Technologies when the product was manufactured.

Seriously Smart Technologies will pay for the return shipping on any warranty repaired Seriously Smart Technologies products.
THIS APPLIES TO END USERS IN THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ONLY (EXCLUDING PUERTO RICO, ALASKA, HAWAII, AND U.S. POSSESSIONS AND TERRITORIES). OTHERWISE, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING THE PRODUCT TO THE REPAIR FACILITY DESIGNATED AT THE TIME OF OBTAINING YOUR RMA NUMBER AND WE WILL SHIP THE PRODUCT BACK TO YOU FREIGHT COLLECT. FOR END USERS WITH A FPO OR APO ADDRESS, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING THE PRODUCT TO OUR REPAIR FACILITY AND WE WILL SHIP THE PRODUCT BACK TO YOU BY UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE.

SERIOUSLY SMART TECHNOLOGIES RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REQUIRE REIMBURSEMENT FOR REPAIR AND/OR SHIPPING COSTS IF IT IS APPARENT THE PROBLEM IS NOT COVERED BY THIS LIMITED PARTS AND LABOR WARRANTY.

Seriously Smart Technologies products are not designed and manufactured for any "Critical Applications" such as life support systems, medical applications, connections to implanted medical devices, or any other applications where product failure could lead to injury or loss of life to any person or animal. Accordingly, Seriously Smart Technologies disclaims any and all liability arising out of the use of this product in any "Critical Applications”.

Dead Pixel Return Policy: If you find dead or defective pixels on your LCD screen, you can return your computer within 15 days after receiving the computer for replacement. Please be careful on determining if you have dead pixels; many people mistake dust, fingerprints, and the like for a dead pixel…it is very easy to make this mistake. Please contact our technical support department for details before obtaining an RMA number. If your computer is returned for dead pixel replacement and no dead pixels are found, your computer will not be replaced and payment for return shipping charges will be required. (Please note that most manufacturers and retailers have a total defective pixel policy of 6, 8, or more pixels.)

c. Free Email Technical Support
Seriously Smart Technologies will provide limited email technical assistance to the ORIGINAL PURCHASER of a Quantum Computer (Notebook or Desktop Computer) for as long as the original purchaser continues to possess the computer. All "Third-Party" software and peripherals are supported by the original manufacturer and are not covered under this warranty.

3. Seriously Smart Technologies’ Limited Warranty Obligations are Limited to the Terms Set Forth Below:
THE WARRANTY AND REMEDIES SET FORTH ABOVE ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHERS, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. SERIOUSLY SMART TECHNOLOGIES SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. NO SERIOUSLY SMART TECHNOLOGIES DEALER, AGENT, OR EMPLOYEE IS AUTHORIZED TO MAKE ANY MODIFICATION, EXTENSION, OR ADDITION TO THIS WARRANTY.
SERIOUSLY SMART TECHNOLOGIES IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY, OR UNDER ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, DOWNTIME, GOODWILL, DAMAGE TO OR REPLACEMENT OF EQUIPMENT AND PROPERTY, AND ANY COSTS OF RECOVERING, REPROGRAMMING, OR REPRODUCING ANY PROGRAM OR DATA STORED IN OR USED WITH SERIOUSLY SMART TECHNOLOGIES PRODUCTS.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or exclusions of implied warranties, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

4. Governing Law
This limited warranty policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan. Any litigation under this agreement shall be resolved in the trial courts of Saginaw County, State of Michigan, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction on this matter.

Additional 2-Year Premium Extended Warranty
PLEASE NOTE: You may purchase this Additional 2-Year Premium Extended Warranty service contract within 60 days of your Date of Original Retail Purchase. Pricing for this option may vary depending on the Seriously Smart Technologies product. Please contact Seriously Smart Technologies for current pricing options for your specific product.

Warranty for Individual Accessories, Spare Parts, and Services
All credit returns within 30 days of invoice date for individual accessories and spare parts are subject to a 15% restocking fee. Returned products must be in as-new condition, including the original box and all other original packing, manuals, and accessories. Seriously Smart Technologies warrants these products against defects for a period of NINETY (90) DAYS from the date of purchase.

Warranty for Third-Party Software and Peripherals
All credit returns within 30 days of invoice date for "Third-Party" software and peripherals are subject to a 15% restocking fee. Returned products must be in as-new condition, including the original box and all other original packing, manuals, and accessories. Similar to other resellers of software and peripherals, Seriously Smart Technologies does not warranty third-party products. Third-party software and peripheral products are covered by the warranties provided by the original manufacturer or publisher only. Third-party manufacturer warranties may vary from product to product. More information may be available from the manufacturer or publisher.

While Seriously Smart Technologies offers a wide selection of software and peripheral products, we do not specifically test or guarantee that all of the products we offer work with any or all of the various models of Seriously Smart Technologies’ computers. If you have questions about compatibility, we recommend and encourage you to contact the third-party software and peripheral product manufacturer directly.

DEFINITION OF "THIRD-PARTY" SOFTWARE AND PERIPHERALS:
Third-party software and peripherals include any peripheral, accessory, or application software sold by Seriously Smart Technologies not under the Seriously Smart Technologies or Quantum Computers brand (e.g., printers, cameras, cases, games, etc). Support for all third-party software and peripherals is provided by the original manufacturer of the product.
