STEP 1: Coaching Course

The Online Coaching Course is designed to guide the biofeedback practitioner through client communications and practices. This course meets the coaching training requirement for becoming a Certified Biofeedback Specialist and is recommended to be reviewed while taking the Beginners course and Advanced course.

STEP 2: Beginners Course

This course is designed to immerse novice quantum biofeedback device users with hands-on practical training for utilizing their biofeedback device and its Clasp32/Eductor64 software. This course is very easy to follow, as we have laid out the groundwork for you in the simplest format possible. This course consists of a 162 page operations manual, 26 video training modules, 549 page course training manual and five homework supplements.

STEP 3: Biofeedback Course

This is a ten-hour online lecture of the science and history of biofeedback and it consists of 18 video modules and a 614 page course manual. This course is theoretical and does not require a biofeedback device. All of our courses meet the requirement for obtaining a CBT (Certified Biofeedback Technician) or a CBS (Certified Biofeedback Specialist) through the Board of Advanced Natural Health Sciences.

STEP 4: Biofeedback Technician Application

Upon completion of the of the Coaching Course, Beginners Course and Biofeedback Course, each student is given the opportunity to become a Certified Biofeedback Technician (CBT), which is accredited through the Board of Advanced Natural Health Sciences.

The fee for the CBT certification is $149 and the annual renewal fee is $59. These Fees are made payable directly to BANHS. See BANHS’ Website for verification of these prices as they may change their pricing without notifying SST. The benefit of becoming a Certified Biofeedback Specialist (CBS) after obtaining a CBT is that you can be an independent practitioner as a CBS.

STEP 5: Liability Insurance

The CBT certification will allow you to apply for an optional professional liability coverage through a qualified insurance company. See BANHS’ Website for details.

STEP 6: Anatomy & Physiology Course

You must take this course or the equivalent (as documented by transcript or license) as a prerequisite to the Advanced Course, as well as being required for Certified Biofeedback Specialist status. This is a home study course and it includes a 520 page textbook. Completion of the course requires that you take and pass the Anatomy & Physiology online exam.

STEP 7: Advanced Course

This course covers advanced biofeedback topics for a deeper understanding of the Clasp32/Eductor64 software program. This class should be taken contemporaneously with the Competency Hours and Coaching Course. This course consists of 15 video training modules, a 498 page course training manual and five homework supplements.

STEP 8: Competency Hours (300 Hours Practicum)

Candidates for certification as a Certified Biofeedback Specialist with the BANHS must complete a 300 Hour Practicum on their biofeedback device to become skilled at navigation. We will not call these “supervised hours” but rather “skill development/competency practicum hours. Any such development time incurred in a clinical or professional setting while under the approved supervision of a CBS shall be counted as double time. Such supervisory approval may be authorized only by BANHS. The memorialization of hours needs to include the date and hours for each activity and list a client code name or number and short description of the activity. STEP 9: Biofeedback Specialist Application

Completion of the previously listed courses and competency hours satisfies the requirements for designation as a Certified Biofeedback Specialist (CBS). The current fee for the CBS certification is $179 and the annual renewal fee is $79. These Fees are made payable directly to BANHS. Q: What version of the software is used for training? How current is the training?
A: Clasp64 is updated from time to time to regularly make improvements to the performance of the software. These training materials have been developed over the past twenty years as an inclusive education that covers everything a biofeedback practitioner needs to know before beginning to offer their services. These courses are for certification purposes. The step-by-step training for using the software itself should be used as a general reference in getting familiar with the panels, but due to the frequent updates of the software, it cannot be used for learning how to run a session on the current biofeedback software versions. For training on how to use the current version of the software, you will want to use your brokers' training. For SST members that training is the Seriously Smart Session and may be supplemented with a wide variety of online training offered by SST.

Q: Is the Certification offered through the Board of Advanced Natural Health Sciences (BANHS.org) recognized worldwide?
A: The practice of biofeedback in the United States and much of the world does not require government licensure to set regulations for practitioners to adhere to. Certification fills this void by creating standards of competency for practitioners to meet, for which the practitioner can be recognized with a certification. BANHS is organized in the United States but available to anyone regardless of their geographic location. BANHS does not have chapters outside the United States.

Q: Are the training manuals provided in electronic format?
A: Yes, the training manuals are provided as PDFs in a secure electronic format. The manuals can be downloaded to two devices. Security features limit your ability to print the e-books to a local printer and cannot be copied to another device. If you prefer paper copies you can purchase those separately by clicking here.

Q: How do I access the training videos?
A: Access is through the Quantum Academies website, whereby you would enter your email address and password to view the training program.

Q: Can I download the videos?
A: No. Videos are not downloadable. You must watch them through the website using an internet connection.

Q: How long does this access last?
A: Access to the courses expires 12 months from the purchase date. If you require more time or if you want to review a course at any point simply email The Quantum Academies and you will be granted another 12 months of access at no extra cost.

Q: Is there a time limit on completing the training?
A: The program should take no longer than 12 months but no time limit is imposed for completion of your courses. Take as long as you like. Just email your extension request to The Quantum Academies.

Q: Is there any kind of individual support?
A: Support for the courses is provided via email to The Quantum Academies. This support is for technical aspects of the training. This does not include coaching through the coursework. One-on-one coaching appointments can be booked separately under the Support Tab.
